ANNUAL MEETING: It's that time of year again!! Time for the annual meeting. This year the meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 13, 2000. It will take place at the Abingdon Fire Hall, Lower Level, at 7:30 PM. The board plans on talking about the highlights of the year (2000); plans for the upcoming year (2001); road repairs; storm water management review; community projects; and the proposed budget for 2001. Please try and attend! It would be nice to see some new faces! Come and get involved in your community!
HALLOWEEN - COMMUNITY WATCH PATROL: Volunteers are needed for the community watch patrol on Monday, October 30th and Tuesday, October 31st . Halloween is on Tuesday evening, October 31, 2000. As in the past, a group of volunteers is needed to walk the neighborhoods looking for any vandalism or anything out of the ordinary. Each will be equipped with a hand held walkie-talkie. The Sheriff's office is also notified and works with the volunteers. It has worked quite well in the past - but we always need volunteers. Anyone interested, please call Sallie Foster, Property Manager at Trenton Property Services, Inc. (TPSI) at 410-879-8333 or contact the board at [email protected]. Thanks to all those who continually support this great cause. Let's keep the streets safe not only for the little ones, but for all!!
TOT-LOTS: Some of the tot-lots need a "face-lift". The board has had them checked for safety and everything is tightened and secured. There are some areas that need new timbers and swings reattached. The board is asking for a VOLUNTEER GROUP to help out with this project. The association would be happy to pay for the wood timbers or any necessary material. All we need is some strong men to pitch in together to get the job done. Please call Sallie Foster, or contact the board if you would like to help out!!
GARDEN BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE: The board would like to get a group of volunteers together to act as the 'Garden Beautification Committee'. There are several areas throughout the community that need to have work done. The association would pay for the materials, but the labor for design and planting would be needed. Please join to help make the association look beautiful!
SKATEBOARDS: Kids love skateboards! However, when they start using homeowner's vehicles to stop themselves - this becomes a problem. Please make sure that your children know that they should stay away from other homeowner's personal property. Be kind to your neighbors!! It's amazing what an effect it has on the neighborhood.
