WHEREAS, Article VII, of the by-laws of Box Hill South, grants the powers and privileges to perform all the duties and obligations necessary for the administration of the affairs of the Association; and
WHEREAS, Article XII, of the Declaration of the Covenants, Condition and Restrictions of Box Hill South Homeowners Association grants the Board of Directors, hereinafter referred to as the Board, the authority to freely adopt rules and regulations which are intended to be adopted as supplements to, and not in lieu of, legally required provisions of the by-laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the attached rule has been adopted by the Board this date, October 27, 1999, and becomes effective no later than December 8, 1999.

This rule applies to both the single-family and townhomes of Box Hill South Homeowners Association.
Beginning with the Spring/Summer of 2000, all homeowners shall be responsible for maintaining their own private lawns. The Box Hill South Homeowner's Association shall continue to be responsible for the maintenance of all common property.
In order to maintain safe and sanitary conditions within the community, individual and townhome lawns must be maintained at a height not to exceed six inches (6").
If any private lawn should exceed six inches, the homeowner may receive an "Inspection Notice" from the BHS-HOA Property Manager informing them that they are in violation of this policy. Upon issuance of this notice, the homeowner must bring their lawn into compliance within five (5) days.

Immediately following the five-day notification period, the Property Manager shall re-inspect the lawn to verify that the homeowner has complied with this policy.
If after five days the homeowner has not complied with the policy, the Property Manager shall make arrangements with a third party to have the lawn serviced. When this service is rendered, an invoice in the amount of $25 will be sent to the owner. The charge for services rendered shall be due and payable immediately.
