Box Hill South Homeowners Association Meeting Minutes

October 26,2000

  • Rob Furlong, President of the association, called the meeting to order at 7:33 PM.

Present: Rob Furlong, John Munno, Tom Pearson, Mike Wooten, Pat Rogers, and Sallie W. Foster with TPSI.

Absent: Sue Perouty was out sick.

The minutes of the September 20, 2000 meeting were reviewed. Motion to accept minutes was made by John Munno, seconded by Pat Rogers, and approved unanimously.

Sallie was asked to write another letter to Dave Hastings requesting the reimbursement of $127.80 from his cash advance.

Sallie to follow-up and get cost of fence from Ivy Hill for HRT entrance. Also for sign for same area.

Robert Conroy, 3103 HRT, has agreed to run for the board at the November 13, 2000 meeting.

There was a discussion about homeowner's requests. All requests are to be sent to the property manager in writing who will then forward them to the board electronically.

The e-mail that everyone received from Al Peisinger was discussed. John Munno to answer him electronically by e-mail.

The playground was discussed. Rob Furlong did an inspection. There were a few things that needed to be addressed. A plate needs to be put on the top timber where the bolt is coming through. This will stabilize the area and prevent the bolt from coming through the timber any more than it already is. There were some timbers that were painted by vandals. These will be painted dark brown. The sliding board area has a piece of metal sticking out that could snag a child. This is to be hammered back into place. Work was done by Don Cole, subcontractor. Sallie to check and make sure everything was completed.

Sallie asked to send copy of minutes from September and October to Jim Mellarkey.

Tom Pearson handed out copies of draft budgets for 2001. After much discussion and number crunching, John motioned to accept the 'Revised Proposed Budget for 2001' that had been worked out. Motion seconded by Mike Wooten, and approved unanimously.

Sallie to get information of total number of dollars brought in from delinquent accounts. She is to get this from Mike Mannes office.

Since Tom Pearson was going to be out of town the evening of the Annual Meeting, John Munno volunteered to get the slides together for the introduction, budget, and construction part of the meeting. Pat will actually handle the construction information to the audience. Rob Furlong will be recognizing individuals that have helped the BHSHOA community in many special ways.

The next meeting will be the Annual Meeting, Monday, November 13, 2000 at 7:30 PM at the Abingdon Fire Hall, lower level.

    Meeting adjourned at 10:43 PM.
