Box Hill South Homeowners Association Meeting Minutes

June 21, 2000

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.

Present: Rob Furlong, Sue Perouty, Mike Wooten, and Sallie W. Foster, with TPSI.

Absent: John Munno, Dave Hastings, Pat Rogers, and Tom Pearson.

Visitors: Mr. and Mrs. Scott Reich, 3225 Stone Eagle Court

A quorum was not present.

Mr. and Mrs. Reich had come to the meeting to discuss the pipe they discovered in their backyard. The Reich's claimed that they have had a soggy rear yard for some time now and Mr. Reich finally began to dig where it was really wet, and he found this broken pipe. The angle the pipe was draining into their yard appeared to be coming from the neighbor above the hill. That would be the last house of the grouping. It appears that the front downspout and the sump pump is draining into the line.

Many different alternatives were discussed with the Reich's. The Reich's were to discuss them amongst themselves and if they needed the association's help, they would be in touch with the board.

After the Reich's left the meeting, a brief overview of the manager's report was done. Since there was not a quorum, no decisions could be made.

Sallie received a proposal from Benhoff for drainage behind Raccoon Court. It was according to the specs as specified by the BOD. The board wanted a price on a trench with gravel, narrow bucket width. 18" deep and 1" gravel and filter cloth and 6" soil and seed/straw. This would start at 3324 (Philistine) and end at 3334 (Wooten). The price was $5,800.

The requested signs for the community were not quite ready. Sallie would pick them up when completed and have Mike Wooten install them.

Janet White 3242 Rock Creek Court had stopped in and asked Sallie about the red fire lane parking curb on her street. She had gotten a couple of tickets. She said she talked with the fire marshal and he said it was illegally painted. She wanted BHS to pay for her fines. It was discussed that the curb had been painted many years ago by a previous board and since it was private property, it could stay that way.

Sallie mentioned that Harford County tipping fee was going to be raised $2.00 across the board per home. This is a 20% increase.

A few letters of correspondence and the architectural requests that Pat Rogers had sent back were reviewed.

Meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM.
