Meeting Minutes
April 15, 2002
Tom Pearson, President of Box Hill South HOA called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. The meeting took place at Trenton Property Services, Inc. (TPSI) conference room at 126 South Main Street, Bel Air, MD 21014.
Present: Tom Pearson, Sue Perouty, Rob Furlong, Joe Kowolski, Pat Rogers, Julie Hans and Sallie W. Foster, Property Manager with TPSI.
Absent: John Munno
A quorum was present.
Treasurer's Report
Joe inquired about the payment of a few invoices. The remainder of the insurance premium had in a 'lump sum' last month.
Joe asked for information to present at the Semi-Annual Meeting, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2002. This information included the total amount of dollars collected and written-off for delinquent accounts. Joe will also do a review of the figures for the 1st quarter of the year 2002.
It was requested that TPSI put in the Approved Budget for 2002 in the old accounting system. TPSI is changing to a new system, however, BHS-HOA has not been added. Sallie to have that completed for May meeting.
Manager's Report
The manager's report had been sent to the board in advance of the meeting. Sallie did a reviewed and updated her report.

There was a problem with the Aegis printing the advertisement on Wednesday, April 10th for the Yard & Craft Sale. The Aegis agreed to print the ad on Friday, April 12 at half the cost of the original ad. They would also print the ad in the Record free of charge.
The Dumpster Weekend information was forwarded to Harford Sanitation. Dumpsters will be dropped off on Saturday, April 20th and will be picked up Monday morning April 22nd. Two (2) additional dumpsters will be added for a total of nine (9) dumpsters for the community.
Sallie is coordinating with three (3) different companies to do an inspection of the Tot Lots along with recommendations of any repairs.
Parking problems - Rob & Pat to inspect. Will update at next meeting.
The Semi-Annual Annual Meeting is now scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2002. Sallie to send out a Notice and Agenda to all homeowners informing them of the meeting date, time and place.
The correspondence that was sent out during the past month was also reviewed.
Old Business
Sallie asked to send a homeowner on Split Oak Court to keep his grass cut.
The adult swing on the large tot lot is still missing. Sallie to get that ordered when the Tot Lots are inspected and repairs are recommended.
There is also a rubber swing with a sharp edge on the bottom. Sallie to have it removed and replaced.
New Business
It was suggested that the 'water ban' handed down from Governor Glendenning be added to the web site. Sallie to check with Jim Mellarkey to see if he has it. If not, Sue Perouty will send it to him.
TPSI received a written complaint from a homeowner on Timberwolf Court regarding children playing on common area. A portable basketball hoop was put between two (2) homes on the common area. Sallie investigated the complaint and spoke with the children. The board has asked that TPSI's policy of speaking with children in the community be discontinued with Box Hill South HOA. The board and the property manager are only to approach and speak with children if there is an illegal activity being witnessed.
The trashcans at the Tot Lots need to be emptied on a regular basis. Sallie to have this done once a month by TPSI.

The following architectural requests were approved. Sallie to send approval letters to homeowners.

These homeowners attended the board meeting. Their concern was that no one from the management company (TPSI) or the board should any children in the community. The board acknowledged this had been discussed and TPSI was not to follow their policy of speaking with children in the community. Parents (when known) should be contacted first or a general notice should be sent out to the court regarding any violations or complaints received by the board or TPSI. Illegal activity would be the only time children be approached.
Delinquent Report
The delinquent report was reviewed. Many accounts had been closed out with payments.
The meeting adjourned at 10 PM.
